Out of This World - The Making of our New Collection

There’s a certain kind of magic that comes with a new season — longer days, brighter light, and a renewed sense of possibility. Our Out of This World spring summer collection was created to capture exactly that feeling: bold, optimistic, and full of joy.

But behind every print and every silhouette is a story. This season, that story took us somewhere special.

From Concept to Creation

Every collection begins in the same way: with an idea. For Out of This World, that spark came from within the design studio itself. During a past collaboration with Tate Modern, a playful Martian character became part of the creative landscape, sitting among sketches and swatches as a quiet source of inspiration.

One of the designers was particularly drawn to it, and soon the idea of revisiting the Martian began to take shape. What started as a small moment of curiosity quickly evolved into something bigger - a shared creative direction that felt fresh, nostalgic, and full of personality.

From there, the concept expanded naturally into a wider cosmic theme. Abstract shapes, otherworldly motifs, and a sense of escapism began to influence the prints and colour palettes, ultimately shaping the joyful, expressive spirit of the Out of This World collection.

Mallorca: Bringing the Vision to Life

To translate the collection from studio to campaign, the team travelled to Mallorca, a location that perfectly captured the warmth and escapism at the heart of the designs.

Natural light, open landscapes, and sun-drenched textures provided the ideal backdrop. The setting didn’t just frame the collection - it enhanced it. Colours felt brighter, prints felt more alive, and the overall mood reflected that sense of summer optimism woven through each piece.

Every location was carefully considered, ensuring a seamless connection between the environment and the collection’s story.

A Hands-On Creative Vision

A key part of what brings each collection together is Orla’s continued involvement throughout the entire process. From initial concept discussions in the studio to being present on set in Mallorca, she remains closely connected to every stage.

Her input shapes everything from print direction to colour choices and ultimately how the collection is presented. On the campaign shoot, this hands-on approach ensured every image captured the intended mood - playful, confident, and full of character.

It’s this level of detail and continuity that gives the collection its cohesive feel, connecting the original idea all the way through to the final campaign.

Designed for Summer Living

While the inspiration may feel otherworldly, the collection is designed for real life. Lightweight fabrics, easy silhouettes, and versatile styling make these pieces perfect for everyday wear, from city days to holiday escapes.

The prints are bold yet wearable, designed to stand out while still feeling effortless. Each piece is created to be mixed, matched, and styled in your own way.
